12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Meade County

Staff Report

According to the Lincoln Trail District Health Department, at press time, there have been 12 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Meade County.  An official, who requested to remain anonymous, confirmed that an employee at the courthouse tested positive for COVID-19 last week.  Judge/Executive Gerry Lynn said that, due to HIPPA regulations, he is unable to comment on specifics of confirmed cases. However, Lynn said that they have done hourly wipe downs and sanitizing activities to make sure both the employees and the citizens are protected.  “With our current number of positive cases at 11, I don’t feel that Meade County has reached its peak,” said Lynn. “It is more critical now than before that we all adhere to social distancing and using good common sense!”

(At the time the Judge/Executive was asked, there were 11 confirmed cases. As of Thursday, there are 12 confirmed cases).
