Photo by Seth Dukes | The Meade County Messenger On April 21, James M. Risinger was traveling on KY 313 toward KY 1638 from Brandenburg. According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, for an unknown reason, Risinger went off the right-hand side of the road. After leaving the roadway, Risinger struck a mailbox and a sign before striking the embankment, then went airborne. When Risinger’s vehicle hit the ground, it appeared to have overturned several times before striking a telephone pole that was on the ground, then hit a guide wire. When Risinger’s vehicle hit the guide wire, it was airborne before going over a ravine and overturning again, ejecting Risinger out of the vehicle. The deputy did not witness the collision.
