Last Tuesday at a special-called meeting, the Meade County Board of Education voted to select Bill Adams, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, as the Interim Superintendent, effective March 1.

Current Superintendent Dr. John Millay announced his retirement earlier this month, effective Feb. 29. As of March 1, Adams will take over the role until a permanent replacement is hired.

At that meeting, the board also voted for the Kentucky Association of School Administrators to conduct a superintendent search. The Board says that their goal is to fill the full-time position by July 1.
