Albert “Joe” Lockard, age 69, of Irvington, KY, passed away May 11, 2020 at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY.

He was born July 29, 1950, the son of the late Albert “Talc” Lockard and Octavia Ellen Bandy Lockard. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Eric Lockard and sister, Julia Faye Lockard.

Joe was a member of the Ekron Baptist Church and the Irvington Masonic Lodge # 868 F&AM. He was retired from the IGA in Irvington and previously worked for Frymire Equipment and currently Liter’s Quarry. He was a hard worker who always put his family first. He was a very giving and kind hearted man. Always willing to help in his community and asked nothing in return. He was very dependable and willing to serve selflessly and loved by many.

Joe was survived by his “Girls” whom he loved very much: Angela (Lance) Adams of Brandenburg, Mindy (Jason) Benham of Battletown, Tonya (Chris) Claycomb of Webster and Erica (Quinton) Lockard-Wells of Owensboro, KY; dog, Mercedes; grandchildren, Tyler, Abbi, Jordan, Cody, Tavia, Damion, Dylon, Liam, Jeb, Samuel, Lydia, Preston, Clayton, Xavier, Ezra, and grand dog, Hudson.

Drive through visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home on Thursday, from 3-8:00 P.M. we are asking that everyone remain in their vehicles and drive through to pay their final respects to Joe. A private family service will be held at a later date with burial to follow.
