The Meade County Public Library would like to introduce you to… Book Bucks! As part of the remote Summer Reading program, every children’s book (graphic novels, picture books, chapter books, nonfiction, audio, and more) has a Book Buck inside. Collect Bucks by checking out more titles throughout the Summer and use your Bucks to buy cool prizes beginning August 1st! We have thousands and thousands of books to choose from, and checking out books is fun and quick with our curbside pick-up.
Curbside pick-up is easy to use! To start, you will need to reserve the books you would like to read. This can be done on our website, www.MeadeReads.org. Once you are on the website, type the title you are looking for in the ‘Catalog Search’ box in the upper right of the page. After clicking ‘Search’, our online card catalog will open with all the results of your search. Once you have found the specific title you’d like to borrow, click the green ‘Reserve Item’ button to the right of the title. The site will ask for your barcode number (the entire number on the back of your Library card, no spaces) or the email address you gave us when you created your Library card. Next, it will ask for your password. If this is the first time you’ve used the card catalog, it is your eight-digit birthday. For example, if you were born on June 5th, 1975, your password is 06051975. You can change it after you log in. After you click ‘Submit’, the Library will receive your reserve. Please wait to pick up your titles until after we call and tell you they are ready. All reserves must be placed on one library card per household (that person needs to be the one picking them up as well) and there is a limit of 15 items per household.
We are here and always happy to help! You can call us at 270-422-2094 Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., or visit our website and social media pages. Happy Reading!
