185 new cases in Kentucky today, which brings the total to 1,840. He said these numbers are likely to increase as they're generally lower over the weekends.
Today, the Gov. announced four new deaths. That brings the death total to 94
"While that is less than yesterday, that's still four more Kentuckians that we've lost to the coronavirus," said Gov. Beshear.
He also elaborated on yesterday's announcement. He said that 99.89 percent of all churches and religious organizations in Kentucky have chosen to not have in-person services, knowing that would allow the coronavirus to spread. He says that the decisions of those that choose to go to a mass gathering shouldn't put others at risk. He said that the imposed 14-day quarantine prevents the decisions of some affecting the lives of others that chose not to gather.
