The Brandenburg Moose Family Center may have been closed for a while due to the pandemic, but their service to our community continues. A call went out early this summer to members, asking them to supply Caring Hope Backpacks, and many responded in kind.
A Caring Hope Backpack is a backpack, or diaper bag, filled with comfort items and essentials intended to help ease the transition for children who are entering a new foster home. Many times when a child is removed from a difficult home situation they only have minutes to grab some of their belongings. Oftentimes these belongings are just shoved into a black garbage bag. A Caring Hope Backpack can give a child a sense of ownership and comfort whenever they transition.
This past week the Brandenburg Moose Family Center delivered several Caring Hope Backpacks to Meade County Child Protective Services. The Brandenburg Moose Family Center continues to work within our community to help those in need, and nonprofit agencies.
