This coming Sunday will bring a close to Daylight Saving Time for 2021. At 2 a.m. on Nov. 7, clocks will fall back an hour. The good news is that everyone will get to sleep in an extra hour on Sunday morning. The bad news is that it will get darker earlier in the day. In fact, the amount of daylight will shorten each day until the winter solstice on Dec. 21.

Frymire’s Weather forecast for this winter has also been released. For those that love snow, Frymire’s predictions for late December through February should make you happy.

Dick Frymire of Irvington made winter weather prediction for the area for years until he passed in 2013. He used a Japanese Elm tree and a special formula, to help make his yearly predictions. Since his passing, his family has continued his winter weather prediction tradition.
