Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement from Secretary of State

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 18, 2020) – Secretary of State Michael G. Adams has announced that his Office is taking precautionary measures to ensure the well-being and health of its staff and members of the public. Governor Andy Beshear has restricted State Capitol building access to all persons other than essential staff. “Our Office will not be conducting in-person business during this time, however, please know our Office remains committed to carrying out essential business functions,” stated Secretary Adams.


“While the Office is not receiving walk-in visits, it will continue to serve the public through other avenues available,” stated Adams. The Office encourages people to reach out via email, call their Office at (502) 564-3490, or utilize their website. Most business operations can be completed through the online business portal.
