Edward James “E. J.” Wierwille, 68, of Irvington, passed away Thursday, February 13, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1951, in Louisville, KY the son of the late Edward W. and Gloria Eisenmerger Wierwille. He was preceded in death by his son: Timothy Wierwille and his puppy dog, Jake.
E. J. was a member of Louisville Masonic Lodge # 400 F. & A. M. in Shively. He was a simple man and very laid back. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. E. J. was a truck driver for Winn-Dixie for 30 years and later went to drive for Kenn Advantage.
He is survived by his beloved of 38 years Carolyn Downs; Children: Jim Wierwille, Tiffany (Matt) Rogers, and Mark Downs. Sisters: Jeana (Jim) Wierwille, and Joyce (Lee) Wierwille Miles; Brothers: Donnie Wierwille, Gary (Debbie) Wierwille and David (Janet) Wierwille; 11 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. E.S.T Thursday, February 20, from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington with burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 9 P.M. E.S.T. Wednesday, February 19 and after 8 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. The Masonic Service will be at 7 P.M. E.S.T at the funeral home
