Mrs. Gisela “Judy” Carlton passed away peacefully on the morning of February 12, 2021, at the North Hardin Rehab and Wellness Center of Radcliff. She was 91 years old.
Mrs. Carlton was noted for her kind and generous personality by everyone with whom she came in contact. She was especially fond of animals, having as many as eight or nine cats in her home at any time. She loved caring for stray animals and went out of her way to feed them and, in some cases, saw to it that they received necessary veterinarian care.
Mrs. Carlton is preceded in death by two of her three sons, Stanley who died in 1976, and Jason, who died in 1981, and her daughter-in-law, Lucille Carlton who died in 2018.
She is survived by her husband Ray Carlton of Radcliff, Kentucky, her son Dieter Carlton of Kissimmee, Florida, and the latter’s daughter and son-in-law, Maegan and Alex Hughes, respectively, of Shelby, North Carolina.
The funeral service for Mrs. Carlton will be held at the Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home located at 2072 S. Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22. There will be a time for friends and family to gather beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
