Governor updates state on coronavirus, no confirmed cases in Meade County

Three hours ago, Governor Andy Beshear gave an update to the state on the impact of the coronavirus.

Early in his message, he stated that there was a 53-year-old male from Nelson county that had tested positive. He said that he believed the individual had some connection with Meade County.

However, later in the discussion, Beshear confirmed that the individual did not have a connection with Meade County.

"They've clarified it's only Nelson and not Meade," said Beshear, in reference to the confirmed case.

At this time, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Meade County.

Beshear said that they had 31 more tests that they will get results from tonight.

The situation is rapidly evolving. Beshear urged the public to visit http://kycovid19.ky.gov to get the most up-to-date information.
