Greenwave wrestling dominate Sectionals

The Meade County High School Greenwave Wrestling team competed in their second home match of the season on Feb 13 against three area teams. This year rather than hold their annual Tsunami, the team hosted Sectionals that included Fairdale High School, Bullitt East High School and Fern Creek High School. Meade has been tearing up the region this season and has come away with some impressive wins since the start of the season. Their record prior to the beginning of today’s match stood at 9-1, despite having wrestlers sitting out due to quarantine, injuries, and illnesses. All sports teams are dealing with the same issues, but Meade seems to have the wrestlers that can step up and get the job done when called upon.

So right now, Meade is still in the process of figuring out who is going to be the best fit on the regional roster. Most of those slots have been filled, if they stay healthy, but there are still a few spots that need ironing out. Meade finished the match in a dominating fashion defeating all three teams handedly only dropping seven matches out of the 42 times the took to the mat.
