Harold Eugene “Gene” Minter, age 81 of Big Spring, KY passed away at home on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
He was born on April 13, 1939 in Big Spring, KY son of the late, Hollie Roberts Minter and Minnie Lorene Bandy Minter. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ann Minter and cousin, O’Neal Carman.
Gene was a plumber, electrician, and a farmer. He worked for Brown Williamson, Phillip Morris, Dean Plumbing, and the Big Spring Store.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fay Minter; children, Terri (Tommy) Riggs of Big Spring, Robbie Minter of Bowling Green, Richard (Shannon) Minter of Big Spring, and Brandi (Craig) Lusk of Flaherty; brother, Larry (Sandra) Minter of Louisville; grandchildren, Tiffany (Larry) Newton, Tabitha (Jeff) Hall, Traci (B.J.) Marr, Taylor Riggs, Shawn Evans, Alex Gray, Payton Lusk, Gunner Lusk, Anna (Jeremy) Hix, Dana (Joe) Brumfield, Adam (Kelsey) Lucas, and Kelzey (Michael) McCubbins; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. E.S.T. with Bro. Danny Board officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home on Thursday, from 12:00-5:00 P.M. E.S.T.
