Harold Gene Carman, 77, of Irvington, passed away May 1 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. He was a former member of the Guston Baptist Church, he retired from Robbins Trucking Company; he also drove a fertilizer truck for several years until he had health problems; was an avid U of K Basketball fan; a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved people, never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He was born June 20, 1942 in Glen Dean, KY, to the late Arthur, Opal Poole Carman. He was preceded in death by two children, Randall Ray Carman, And Harold Gene Carman, Jr; a sister, Mary Ruth Willoughby; and two brothers, James Virgil Carman, and Arthur Carman, Jr. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Lisa) Crafton of Ekron, Laura Lynn (David) House of Nashville, TN, Tina Carman of Irvington, Michael (Jennifer) Carman of Battlefield, Mo; six grandchildren, Amber, Ariel, Ryan, Tashawn, Camesha, and Clara; many great-grandchildren; and a brother Darold (Beverly) Carman of Louisville.
