History Museum to host Civil War round table

 March 9 at 6 p.m. come to the Meade County History Museum and join our Civil War Round Table. The panel will include local historian Steve Straney; author, artist, historian and retired teacher Sherrill Williams; author and historian Tim Watts; retired professor and historian Dr. Tom Sabetta; and writer, researcher, and historian Chris Leuken from Nashville, Tennessee. Gerry Fischer will be the moderator. The panel will discuss local guerillas, including Sue Mundy, Henry Magruder, Bill Marion and Henry Metcalf. All of these men were active in guerrilla warfare in Meade County. March 12, 2020 will be the 155th Anniversary of the capture of the guerrillas Magruder, Mundy and Metcalf at the Cox farm in southern Meade County. Bring your questions and join in the fun. Refreshments will also be served.
