“Hold fast to the hope that lies before us.” Hebrews 6:18

Theresa Catholic Parishes

As we reflect on the year 2020, it would be hard to argue that the biggest story around the world is not the pandemic that we continue to battle today. We have and continue to battle two enemies at the same time; one is the dangerous virus and the other is the fear that has grown from it. Many brave men and women in the medical profession are fighting the grips of the virus and are winning. The battle against fear is one that we all play a role in every day. It is said that the bible contains 365 references to controlling our fears; I haven’t counted them, but it makes sense; Jesus came to assure us that He has the power to heal us of our illnesses. So, everyday it would help us all to pick up our bible and let Jesus calm our fears and hold fast to the hope that lies ahead, because He has already won that battle for us.
