JAMES E. STEPHENS


James E. Stephens, age 86, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

James was born April 11, 1934 in Nashville, TN to the late James Paul Stephens and Geneva Irene Scarlott Stephens.

James was a United States Army Veteran and the Owner/Operator of Stephens Trucking. His motto was WORK, WORK, WORK. He also loved to sing karaoke in Irvington, KY.

His wife, Anna Ruth Blair Stephens, daughter, Vickie Ammons, sister, Kay Wilson and grandson, Kennedy Hall preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Trina Stephens of Radcliff, KY Kevin Stephens and Katrisha Stephens both of Brandenburg; grandchildren, Amanda Brooks, Cadence Stephens, Landry Stephens, Bella Reesor, Briana Blackburn, Nikki Chambers, Bradley Benham and Ryan Bray; sister, Patsy (Kenneth) Stanfield of Brandenburg and several great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for James will be held Saturday, June 20 at 4 P.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be from 10 A.M. EDT until the time of the service at the funeral home.
