Karl F. Hollenbach, age 95 of Louisville, KY, formerly of Ekron, KY, passed away on December 12, 2020.
He was born on August 17, 1925, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Helen Scholl and Peter K. Hollenbach. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Jean Hollenbach (Granddaughter of Dave Smith).
Karl served in Europe with the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II. His non-fictional articles were published in Japan and England as well as in the United States. He wrote A Journey to the Four Kingdoms, Ericius, Francis Rosicross, Empyreal Encounters, and Thrice Told Tales. In later life, he rendered most Shakespear plays into modern English. He was a Past Master of the Rosicrucian Order and received initiation into Kriya Yoga at the International Convention of Self-Realization Fellowship in California in 1996.
He is survived by his children, Kef Hollenbach, Marty Hollenbach, and Fritz Hollenbach all of Louisville; grandchildren, Ryan Potter, Peter Louis Hollenbach, Kasey Jean Hollenbach, and Kir Hollenbach; great-grandchildren, Claire, Niko, Finn, and Anne; cousin, Carol Sharpe Harper; nephews, Spencer Harper, III, and Grafton Harper.
The family is being served by Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
