Calling all 4-H members! Do you like photography? Do you love taking pictures? Kentucky
4-H is conducting a photography contest with photos by you, Kentucky 4-H. The top 12 photos will be featured in the Kentucky 4-H Calendar.
Learn how you can express yourself through photography! Through this expressive arts project area, youth discover how to take fascinating photographs, learn about photography as an art, a science and a communication tool, observe and enjoy their surroundings in a photographic world and explore photography as a hobby or profession. The 4-H Photography project is broken down into three levels; each with their own learning activities in basic photography but also communication, citizenship and leadership. Meade County 4-H does not have an organized photography club, but materials are available so that youth can learn on their own at home.
To enter the state level 4-H photography contest, submit your high resolution, digital photograph to firstname.lastname@example.org, by September 30, 2020, at 12:00am EST. All photos must represent Kentucky 4-H in some way, and all submissions must have a photo release on file with their county extension agents. All submissions will be entered into a voting contest, starting October 16. Winners will be announced with the unveiling of the 2021 Kentucky 4-H Calendar on December 1, 2020. For more information, please contact Deana K. Reed at email@example.com.
