The Meade County High Ladywave Volleyball team extended their winning streak to four games in their win over the Nelson County Lady Cards in straight sets on September 14. Meade left no doubt who was the stronger winner by scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-10.

Meade was able to grab the lead early in each of the sets, but it was their net play that continued to get them the sideouts they needed. Nelson did get an early lead in the second set, but it was Meade’s front line that quickly stopped their attack, allowing Meade to mount an attack of their own. Once Meade had the ball, their serves were hitting their marks, the front line was blocking any kill shots Nelson could send their way. Meade’s power hitters, senior Ann Rogers, along with sophomores Reagan Kupper and Clara Roger, had no problems racking up the kills keeping Meade out in front in each set, never allowing Nelson to close the gap.

M.E. Hargan led the team in kills and assists with 18 and 8, respectively. Sarah Clark led the way in assists and aces with 18 and 3. Jessica Smallwood finished the match with 4 blocks.
