On September 15, the Ladywave Volleyball team along with the Boosters and Coaches celebrated their five departing seniors prior to their home game against the North Hardin Lady Trojans. The team will lose four players and a manager who keeps things running smoothly for the coaches to do their jobs.
Manager Lyndsey Moore, the daughter of Keith and Staci Bennett, is a member of Educators Rising, FCA, and the Pep Club. After graduating High School Lyndsey’s future includes attending Elizabethtown Community College and then to transfer to Western Kentucky University to major in elementary education. Her fondest memory while being a Ladywave is all the interactions with the players and is grateful that the girls make her feel as though she is a part of the team.
Defensive Specialist Ashton Wardrip, the daughter of Amanda Jones, and Kelly Wardrip, is a member of HOSA, Y-Club, SADD, FCA and the Pep Club. Upon Graduating High School Ashton plans to attend college where she will major in Neuro Medicine. Her fondest memory while playing with the Ladywave Volleyball team is getting side swiped by a semi her freshmen year ion the way home from a Breck Co game, and Alandria Lee’s hand getting cramped in the “Good Hand” position when the truck hit the bus.
Defensive Specialist Kelli White, the daughter of Greg and Anne White, is a member of SADD, FBLA, and FCA. Kelli plans to attend Empire Beauty School to become a Cosmetologist and then go on to attend Elizabethtown Community College to minor in Entrepreneurship. Her fondest memory while a Ladywave was when Madelyn (Collard) tripped over the chair at regions after we won.
Setter Alandria Lee, the daughter of Dana and Kevin Lee, is a member of the Y-Club, FCA, FFA, the National Honors Society, and she is also member of the MCHS Track and Field Team. Alandria will attend the University of Kentucky after Graduating High School to major in Agricultural Economics with a minor in business. Her fondest memory while a Ladywave is also of when the bus was side swiped by a semi and her hand was stuck n the “Good Hand” position.
Defensive Specialist and Libero Madelyn Collard, the daughter of Mike and Lori Collard, is a currently the President of HOSA, the service chair for the Y-Club, and a student Government Officer. She is also involved in SADD, FCA, Pepe Club, and a member of the National Honor Society, the MCHS Tennis Team and an active member at Radiant Church. Madelyn plans to attend college where she will either study t become a Physical Therapist, or a Physicians Assistant to serve in mission work in underdeveloped countries. Her fondest memories while playing for the Ladywave Volleyball team is all the dinner and car rides with Kelli, Ameia, and Bethany who had to deal with her bad driving.
