Lindsay Ross Mangin


Lindsay Ross Mangin, age 61, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Norton Hospital Downtown in Louisville, KY.

Lindsay was born May 1, 1960 in Louisville, KY to the late William Ross and Barbara Judith Harrington Mangin. His sister, Lisa Mangin McCubbin; grandparents, Arnold and Dorthea Mangin and Harry and Ethel Benham Harrington; and aunts, Ethel Burrell and Katherine Brown also preceded him in death.

Lindsay retired from the Century Aluminum Plant in Hawesville, KY after many years of service. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, loved to play the drums, motorcycles, and riding his horse, Gypsy. His passion was being outdoors, whether landscaping or camping, and he enjoyed watching Western movies.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Pecora of Brandenburg, KY; three children: Megan A. Mangin (Brandon) Hurd of Lavon, TX, Morgan Mangin (Colton) Wheeler of Waco, TX, and Dylan Ross Mangin of Santa Claus, IN; five grandchildren: Hope Lindsay, Griffin, Emmy, August, and Ellie; brother, Cary E. Mangin of West Point, KY; niece, Kristin Mertz; aunts, Alice (Farleigh) Yates and Angie Harrington; cousins: April Yates, Nathan Yates, Jared Yates, Milly Thomas, and Missy McGhee; former spouse, Judy Mangin; and many more cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg, KY with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM EDT and after11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
