Louisville Grand Jury charges one officer with wanton endangerment in the Breonna Taylor Case

The Jefferson County Grand Jury announced today at 1:30 p.m. that Officer Brett Hankinson, who was fired by the Louisville Metro Police Department after the incident, has been charge with three counts of wanton endangerment in the 1st degree. Haskins fired 10 rounds into the apartment. One count is for firing into the apartment of an individual named as C.E.. Another was for firing into the apartment of an individual named as C.N. The third was for firing into the apartment of an individual named as Z.F.

No other officers were charged by the Jefferson County Grand Jury. There were three officers who discharged their weapons that night.

Breonna Taylor died from a police involved shooting on March 13, during a warrant execution at her home that night.
