LTDHD to host COVID vaccination clinics on March 3 and 4

Lincoln Trail District Health Department (LTDHD) will be hosting COVID-19 vaccination clinics on March 3 and March 4. The current vaccination priority remains those aged 70 and older. However, as vaccine quantities and appointment availability allow, those aged 60 and older may also schedule to be vaccinated.

❖ March 3rd in Hardin County—appointments will open at 9:00 am on Feb. 26

❖ March 4th in Nelson County—appointments will open at 9:00 am on Mar. 1

Appointments are required and will be available online or by phone on a first-come, first-served basis. The majority of appointments will be available online – approximately 25% of appointments will be reserved by phone for those who need assistance. Online appointments can be made through the Lincoln Trail District Health Department website at We understand that some senior adults lack internet access. Therefore, we ask those who can register online to do so and allow us to reserve all phone appointments for those who require assistance. To register for an appointment by phone, dial 270-769-1601. We urge people to only schedule appointments if they meet eligibility requirements.

We will use automatic messages on our website and phone system to notify the public when all available appointment slots are filled. Vaccine shipments and amounts can be uncertain from week to week. Therefore, LTDHD does not maintain a waiting list or allow the public to pre- register for future clinics.

The Governor recently announced a move into Phase 1C beginning March 1 as vaccine quantities allow. Because this phase encompasses such a large group of eligible people and vaccine quantities are not sufficient at this time to open to all 1C, LTDHD will phase in additional groups within 1C. Please monitor our website to determine which groups that we are currently vaccinating. You can find a comprehensive list of vaccination locations in our service area on our website. Additional sites are added on a weekly basis.
