Man in hospital after shooting in Meade County this morning

According to the Meade County Sheriff's Office, Meade County E-911 received a call at approximately 6:03 a.m. in reference to an unknown male who had been shot near 4366 Garrett Road (KY 1238). Upon arrival, the MCSO Deputy arrived and provided medical aid to the shooting victim. The victim was transported by Air Methods to the University of Louisville Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the lower extremity and currently is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing with the coordination of the Louisville Metro Police Department.
