Marla Kay Fackler, 65, of Flaherty, KY, died Thursday, December 17, 2020.
She was born April 6, 1955, in Brandenburg, KY, and left this earth on December 17, 2020, after a month-long battle with Covid-19. Marla was the owner and operator of Country Trends Salon in Flaherty. Marla loved to travel but above all, was happiest anywhere when surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; J.T. and Eleanor Barger; a sister, Brenda Barger; a daughter, Stacy Dale Fackler Lowman; and an infant granddaughter, Cecilia Alyse Lowman.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Dale Fackler of Flaherty; one daughter, Krystal Kay Fackler Cornett and her husband, Chris, of Brandenburg; one grandson, Dylan Anthony Lowman; two granddaughters, Celise Faith Lowman and Claire Carolyn Cornett; a son-in-law, Jason T. Lowman of Vine Grove; three brothers, Joe, Rick, and Neil Barger; and one sister, Elaine Vowels, all of Meade County.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 21st at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin of Tours Church Cemetery in Flaherty.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.
