Meade County Salvation Army Volunteer Lunch

The Meade County Salvation Army Chapter had a volunteer appreciation lunch March 7 for all the volunteers who participated in the Red Kettle fundraiser. Over $8,000 was given by the residents of Meade County. This money will stay in Meade County to assist families and programs. They will have another Red Kettle fundraiser in July. Anyone that would like to volunteer may contact Terri Stowers at 270-945-0090. This is a great way for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts to earn badges, High School students who are applying for scholarships to show community service. Anyone that would like to join the organization, the next meeting is April 4 at noon at the Meade County Public Library.
