New location for Meade County food distribution beginning in March



 Monthly distributions of commodity food and produce items will be handed out at a new location beginning March 24.

 Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland (FAKH), along with Meade County partner agencies, will be at the Meade County Fairgrounds, 884 Hillcrest Drive, Brandenburg, 9 a.m. - noon.

 All residents of Meade County are eligible to receive food through this distribution. Proof of residence in Meade County is required, either in form of driver’s license, cancelled check, rent receipt, or piece of mail with current address. The food distributions will continue at the Fairgrounds on the 4th Tuesday of each month.

 FAKH serves as the regional food bank for Meade County, as well as 41 other surrounding counties in central, southcentral, and western Kentucky. Their partner agencies in Meade County include Journey Church, Meade County Community Action, M.C.M.A. Clothes Closet, Muldraugh United Methodist, and Macedonia Action Christian Center.
