Nucor project still moving forward

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, many projects have been put on hold. However, General Manager for Nucor Steel Brandenburg Johnny Jacobs says that Nucor’s project here is still moving forward.

“Right now, we are focused first and foremost on the safety of our teammates, while still moving forward with this project,” said Jacobs.

Jacobs says that they are making some adjustments to the way they work due to the coronavirus.

“Like many organizations, we have implemented measures to encourage social distancing that not only apply to our Kentucky team, but also to our entire company,” Jacobs said.

Jacobs says that, due to the rapidly evolving situation, it’s hard to speculate on how the schedule might be impacted, but they remain committed to this community and the plate mill project for the long term.
