Radcliff woman indicted for abuse of three children

 A Radcliff woman arrested in December and charged with abusing an 8-year-old by strik­ing him multiple times in the mouth and face with a plastic bat now has been indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on that felony charge and two misdemeanor counts of child abuse.

 According to an arrest citation, Dante Chanelle Moore, 33, struck the child Dec. 11, 2019, after he reportedly stole something.

 There were three other juveniles in the home when the child reportedly was struck, the citation said, including two who had slight bruising on their shoulders from being spanked they told Radcliff police.

 The 8-year-old said he could­n’t remember how many times he was struck, but said it was “a lot,” according to the citation. He suffered a swollen lip and bruising and told police, it “hurt when he talked.”

 All of the children were removed from the home by Child Protective Services, according to the citation.

 Moore was indicted on one count of first-degree criminal abuse of a child younger than 12, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted, and two mis­de­meanor counts of fourth-­degree assault, child abuse, Class A felonies punishable by up to one year in prison, if convicted.
