Raymond “Crazy Ray” Hardesty, age 70 of Webster, KY passed away at home surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
He was born, in Mooleyville, KY on December 27, 1949 son of the late Clarence E. Hardesty and Mary Elsie Mattingly Hardesty. Also preceding him in death were his sisters Viola and Patricia Hardesty and his brother, Bill Hardesty.
Crazy Ray was a Vietnam Veteran, where he was a door gunner on a helicopter. He also worked as a pipe layer, for Flynn Brothers. He loved to drink his “Busch” beer, camping, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, cookouts, hanging out in the garage, and spending time with his “Best Friend” his wife, Bobbie.
He is survived by his: wife of 15 years, Bobbie Hardesty; children, Sarah (Russ) Hardesty of Irvington and Ray (Tessa) Hardesty of Louisville; step-children, Danny (Leigh Ann) Brown of Irvington, David Brown of Hardinsburg, Darrick (Patti) Brown of Irvington, and Donnie Brown of Irvington; sisters, Veronica Hardesty, Norma Bennett, and Marlene Hardesty; brothers, Jim Hardesty and Tom Hardesty; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home, 509 Spring Street, Irvington, KY 40146 on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. EDT
Funeral Services will be held from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home Saturday at 2:00 P.M. EDT.
