Rebecca Sue Holbrook Shults, age 41, of Payneville, KY, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, along with her unborn son, Mateo Alexander Beu, at her residence in Payneville.
Rebecca was born November 4, 1978, in Elizabethtown, KY, daughter of James Paul and Janet Sue Holbrook. Her grandparents, Neal and Bonnie Holbrook preceded her in death.
Rebecca was a 1997 graduate of Meade County High School and attended Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She was a proud LPN with her Bachelor’s from Western Kentucky University and her Master’s in Psychology from Liberty University. Rebecca worked at Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox, Recovery Works in Elizabethtown and had just accepted the role of Operations Manager at Pax Riverbend in Jeffersonville, IN. Rebecca was a beloved mother, big sister, daughter, soul mate, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that love her.
She is survived by her daughters: Kaitlyn Michelle Shults and Emma Marie Smith of Payneville; soul mate, Joe Beu, of Payneville; her parents, James, and Sue Holbrook; sisters, Patricia Marie Holbrook of Albacete, Spain, and Karen Elizabeth Holbrook Sheroan (Dereck) of Custer; brother, Stephen James Holbrook (Tasha) of Brandenburg; nieces and nephews: Gavin Ladnier, Blake Hill, Haleigh Sheroan, Olivia Holbrook, and Hudson Holbrook; close cousins: Larry Ammons, Jennifer Kendall, and Rachel Swink; aunt and uncles: Paul and Jane Ammons and Jim Holbrook; and an abundance of relatives and friends who love her.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:00 AM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg, KY with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Lodiburg, KY.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 3:00 – 8:00 PM EDT and Friday after 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
