Rita Faye Nix, age 75 of Irvington, KY, passed away Friday, October 30, at her home.
She was born September 8, 1945 in Locust Hill, KY, the daughter of the late Curtis and Essie Blanch Woods Horsley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Greene; sisters, Jean Johnson, Joanne Drane, Mary Miller, Helen Lowe, and Margaret Knott; and brothers, Wendall and Harold Horsley.
Faye was the former owner and operator of The Hair Affair in Irvington, enjoyed going to flea markets and race tracks to watch the horses run. She also loved and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandson.
She is survived by two daughters: Stacey (Mark) Lucas of Irvington and Cindy (Jim) Aikens of Simpsonville, KY; her sister, Maxine Harned; grandchildren, Jared (Tegan) and Brayden Lucas and Kayelin Aikens; great-grandson, Odin Lucas.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. E.S.T., Monday, November 2, 2020 from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horsley Cemetery in Harned, KY
Visitation will be Monday from 12 Noon E.S.T. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
