In loving memory of Bob - Robert John Borchert, 74, of Radcliff, Ky formerly of Marquette Michigan, who lost his battle with Alzheimers Thursday evening, February 25th, 2021.
He is survived by Peggy Borchert, his wife of 56 years, 3 children Tina (Danny) Lightfoot, Penny (Darrel) Begley, and Robert Borchert II, Four grandchildren - Timothy Redden, Katy Byars, Kristina Williams and Matthew Lightfoot, five great grandchildren, Brothers Otto (Sue) Borchert, David Borchert, Sisters Shirley Russell, Rebecca (John) Thompson, Marilyn (Ray) Charlier, Helen Nokjechek.
Bob was an army veteran 1963-1966. He worked for and retired from AAFES, he was stationed at military bases in Tennessee, Michigan, Colorado, Germany, Nebraska and Kentucky. After 25 years he retired and continued to work in marketing and later drove a bus for TACK until his final retirement in 2011.
Bob was a great husband and father, an avid fisherman, a motorcycle and trike enthusiast who enjoyed going to local charity poker runs and Trike ins. He was a member of the Brothers of the Third Wheel and Kentucky Wheels.
A time of gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff. The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 4 in route to Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central for a 11:00 a.m. committal service with military honors. There will not be any visitation on Thursday.
