Sara Faye Cornett, June 1, 1949 - February 22, 2021
This is the story of Sara Faye Hall Cornett. Faye was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. “Nanny”, as she was called by her grandchildren, was an amazing wife, Mom, daughter, mother-in-law and baker of yeast rolls like nobody else.
Sara Faye Hall Cornett’s story starts on June 1, 1949, in Viper, Kentucky, the child to Estill and Sarah (Fields) Hall. Faye would spend her childhood, grow up, make many life-long friends and go to school in this community. Faye was very proud to be a “Country girl” and would point it out anytime she could.
Faye met the love of her life as a teenager, Jerry Keith Cornett, and married him on March 13, 1967. They had two handsome boys, who have beautiful families, today. The oldest, Glenn Cornett married Christy Adkins Cornett and has two sons, Logan Keith Cornett and Mason Gage Cornett. The youngest son, Tony Cornett and wife April Hall Cornett, have three sons, William Aden Cornett, Samuel Anthony Cornett and Mitchell Jerry Cornett. Her life was her Family, especially her grandsons, who were her heart and joy.
Loved ones that cleared a path to Heaven for Faye, are her parents, Estill and Sarah Hall, and her siblings, Kara Hall, Kirby Hall, Bert Hall, Norma Jean Hall Roberts, Billy Lou Hall, Odis Hall and Leo Glenn Hall.
Loved one’s who will miss Sara Faye are, siblings, Estill (Cotton) Hall Jr., Joyce Ann Hall Duff, Vaughn Hall, Ernest Gene Hall, and Bobby Hall, her husband and love of her life, Jerry Keith Cornett, her two sons, her pride and joy and their wives, and her absolute heart, “I’m gonna kiss your whole face”’ as she liked to say, grandsons.
And so the story goes on until we meet our Faye and Nanny again. We love you and miss you.
