Raising tobacco transplants from seed is a family affair for Hardesty Farms and Greenhouses. Above: The float beds are filled with freshly seeded trays. Below: It takes an assembly line to keep trays loaded as they are filled with soil, seeded and loaded into a trailer to be taken to the houses. Bethany Hardesty checks the seed placement, as her young daughter oversees the operation.
