The Stuart Pepper Middle School Ladywave volleyball team began their season just over a week ago and have their first four games in as many days. Hoping to bounce back from their loss the night before, they hosted the LaRue County Lady Hawks on March 12, that featured some exciting volleys, and some even more exciting finishes.

The night started out with the coaches and school staff honoring their eighth-grade players prior to them taking the court for their warmups. They looked ready to redeem themselves and put another W in the win column. It did not take SPMS long to make the statement that they were here to play, as they started the game scoring quick points, jumping out to the lead. As the game wore on, LaRue County began to find their groove and came back to tie the game. As both sides fought for each sideout, it would be SPMS to gain the upper hand and take the first set.

After taking a first set loss, LaRue came back in the second set to gain the upper hand late, and take the second set win, which meant that they would go into the third set tied.

The third and final set found both teams battling back and forth for the sideouts and would come down to the last few points. SPMS had to fight off a late charge by LaRue but would finish the game off with an ace to take the win.
