SPMS Principal Butler Selected as New Director of Pupil Personnel and Director of Facilities / Groun
Chad Butler, who has served as principal of Stuart Pepper Middle School for the past 11 years, has been named the new Director of Pupil Personnel and Director of Facilities and Grounds for the Meade County School District. Mr. Butler will begin his duties on July 1.
“Mr. Butler is a proven leader who has consistently achieved for Meade County Students during his 21 years in education. Stuart Pepper Middle School has been one of the most successful schools in Kentucky for the past 11 years because of his shared vision. Mr. Butler is the type of person that you want on your team because he brings value to our students and staff across the district,” commented incoming School Superintendent Dr. Mark Martin. “He is a person of integrity who cares about children. Meade County Schools will continue to benefit from Mr. Butler’s influence.”
As Director of Pupil Personnel, Mr. Butler will compile and maintain the district's records of attendance and student accounting, coordinate homebound and hospital-bound student services, assist in implementing and interpreting the district policies regarding safety and discipline, collaborate with community programs and court authorities in the resolution of pupil needs and problems and work with principals, teachers, and guidance counselors to reduce the school dropout rate.
Mr. Butler will also oversee the daily operations of the facilities across the Meade County School District. Through this work, Mr. Butler will work closely with administrators, custodians, and maintenance team members to continue developing and maintaining premier facilities for academics, extracurricular, and athletics experiences.
Mr. Butler has a vast understanding of the Meade County School District from his extensive tenure as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal that will effectively serve our community in his new role. Throughout his career, Mr. Butler has always focused on impacting excellence and improvement through an intentional focus on developing meaningful relationships with people.
