Stephen Barr of Barr Realty and Auction receives Farm Bureau Award

 Stephen Barr, owner of Barr Realty & Auction, received the Meade County Farm Community Service award given by the Meade Co. Farm Bureau board of directors at their annual meeting held on August 23rd 2020 at the Farm Bureau Community building in Brandenburg. This award is presented to a Farm Bureau member who exhibits a desire to support the local community by sharing one’s time and talent.

 Stephen is a lifelong member of Meade county and is an active member of St. Theresa Catholic parish in Rhodelia where he lives. He has been co-chair of their annual picnics in which he has spearheaded their annual live auction fundraiser.

 In addition, he has assisted several other church and community events, including the Meade Co. Fair 4-H & FFA livestock auctions, for over 20 years. Other community events include the Meade Co. Extension Homemakers, MARC Anchor House, School festivals, Athletic fundraisers, Meade Activity Center Galas, Political party fundraising and the list goes on.

 President of the Meade County Farm Board of Directors, Fred L. Sipes, presented the award and expressed the boards appreciation for his commitment to playing a key role in supporting our communities in Meade County.
