This past Friday afternoon, according to law enforcement, a Meade County High School student was in the gym and brandished a knife toward another student. The student put the knife away but then got it back out. Another student took it to the teacher. While interviewing students, one student told law enforcement that the suspect put the knife against his throat earlier in the week, and another student stated that he thought the suspect was going to stab him either earlier in the week or Friday. The suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon on school property, which is a class D felony, and lodged at the Meade County Detention Center. He was released on 11/06 on recognizance.
