“Thank you” for Commencement Cruise

From Janette Schmidt

Friday night’s Commencement Cruise was an overwhelming success! We live in a very special community that is always willing to support our schools, especially in times of need. MCHS would like to give a very special shout-out to so many people that helped make the Commencement Cruise a success. Without the support of these groups and individuals, the Cruise would not have been possible. This does not feel like nearly enough, but we want to publicly acknowledge all that helped make this a one-of-a-kind event possible. A HUGE thank you goes to:

— MCHS Staff

—Interim Superintendent Bill Adams and Meade County Board of Education

— District and SPMS Administrators

— Brandenburg Police and Chief Brian Haag

— Meade County Sheriff’s Department and Sheriff Philip Wimpee / Deputy Scotty Singleton

— Irvington Police

— Lincoln Trail District Health Department - Karen Cottrell

— Mayor Ronnie Joyner

— Judge Executive Gerry Lynn

— All local Fire Departments and First Responders

— Meade County Jail - JJ Scarborough

— MCHS PTSO - Shelley Henson

— Magnify Media - Levi Wheatley

— 93.5 WMMG - Alex Allen

— BBTEL - Joe Laslie

— Tamber’s Pix - Tara Kinney

— WVIH.com - Webster Cundiff

— Ship N Print

— Meade County Messenger

— Derek Crafton

— Businesses along the parade route

As you can see, it took a lot of hands to help make the Commencement Cruise happen! We certainly could not have pulled this off by ourselves! Thank you to all who played a part. MCHS is forever thankful to those who helped make the Commencement Cruise a night the Class of 2020, their families, and this community will never forget. Thanks for your help!
