Thomas Lee “Tommy” Robinson, age 57 of Irvington died Thursday, March 5 at University Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Lodiburg, KY on April 18, 1963, the son of the late Earl and Eloise Basham Robinson. Tommy was a member of Irvington United Methodist Church, Irvington Masonic Lodge and Local 181 in Henderson. He was a former member of the Irvington City Council. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, cooking and birdwatching. Tommy was a very quiet man who loved his family and was loved by them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert Parr.
Tommy is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” Robinson of Irvington; three children: Troy and Lanore Jones of Vine Grove, Missy and Tommy Blackburn of Webster, and Ashley Jones of Irvington; three grandchildren: Allie and Hunter Jones, Cole Blackburn; two sisters: Juanita Parr of Irvington and Kay Conway (Ed) of LaGrange; and a brother-in-law: J L Frymire of Radcliff.
Funeral services will be held at Irvington United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. eastern time with Rev. Josh Pack officiating under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, 4-8 p.m. eastern time and Sunday after 2 p.m. eastern time.
