Kindergarten Registration - Kindergarten Registration will be open for children who will turn 5 on or before Aug 1, 2020. Brandenburg Primary: Apr 7 & 8 from 8:30 a.m. -11 a.m., 12 p.m.-2 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. They will also have registration on Apr 21 from 8:30 a.m. -11 a.m. & 12 p.m. -2 p.m. For any questions you can call the school at: 270-422-7545.

Free Child & Senior ID Kits - The Brandenburg Moose Family Center is teaming up with Safe Surfin’, the Meade County Sheriff’s Department and the Brandenburg Police Department to supply child and senior ID kits to residents of Meade County. Each family member will receive a free DVD with their family member’s personal information, picture and fingerprints. The Safe Surfin’ Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit Cyber Safety and Responsibility educational initiative dedicated to protecting and education youth from the dangers of online predators. The event will take place on Mar 21 at 1 p.m. at the Brandenburg Moose Family Center at 245 Main Street, Brandenburg, KY 40108. For more information please contact Sheila Bennet at 270-422-1179.
Kids Fest - On March 7, Brandenburg Primary will be hosting Kids Fest for children up to the age of 5 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.. There will be free t-shirts and books for participating children as long as supplies last. There will be appearances by favorite storybook characters, age appropriate stations for ages 0-2 and 3-5, games, door prizes and a free developmental screening. Please note that if your child is in preschool, head start or first steps then they have already had their development screening. Last but not least, you will be able to sign your child/children up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at this event. The Kids Fest is presented by Meade County Community Early Childhood Council. I Hate Shakespeare - MCHS Drama Club presents I HATE Shakespeare! By Steph DeFerie Friday, March 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Meade County High School Auditorium. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $7 for adults and $5 for students, except for on Saturday when the show will be proceeded by a soup dinner. Saturday’s dinner and a show tickets will cost $15 for adults and $10 for students. Come out and enjoy this fast-paced comedy to support the MCHS Drama Club.
Egg My Yard (legally) - Do you have children or grandchildren who expect to go Easter egg hunting this Easter? The MCHS Band Boosters wants to help! They are currently taking reservations for their fundraiser “Egg My Yard”. You can buy pre-filled eggs from them and they will come out and place the eggs in your yard for you so that you can enjoy a relaxing Easter with your kids. Each egg is filled with a toy or piece of candy. 35 eggs costs $25, 50 eggs costs $35, 75 eggs cost $45, 100 eggs cost $55, 150 eggs cost $105 and 200 eggs cost $135. Ladies Garden Tea Party - The Mission Team of Brandenburg United Methodist Church invites all ladies to a Garden Tea Party on March 21, 2020 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Fellowship, tea sandwiches, tasty desserts and a variety of teas can be enjoyed along with musical entertainment, a live auction and a photo booth.
