Joy Trotter, Meade County Public Library In response to COVID-19 and in an effort to maintain the health and safety of our employees and our patrons, the Meade County Public Library will be closed to the public until further notice. The Library is not receiving returns at the moment, and fines will be waived for this time period. Please do not leave return items or donations outside the library as they could be damaged or stolen, leaving the patron responsible for those items. The Library does have a small staff working in the building to deep clean, organize, and answer questions as they arise. They are available by phone at (270) 422-2094. The website (www.meadereads.org) offers a variety of online resources that are available including Libby and Hoopla, services that offer E-books, audiobooks, and movies by reserve or streaming from your computer or smart phone. The library will offer Facebook Live story times with Ms. Joy throughout the week, paired with a craft or activity to complete at home. Facebook and our website allow us to share information throughout the day, and are the best ways to find the most up to date news. The library staff misses our patrons and is eager for the day when the doors can open again!
