Woman arrested for fourth-degree assault

Lacee Tate Hardy, of Brandenburg, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault on Jan. 17.

According to law enforcement, Meade County Dispatch received a call from Lacee’s ex-husband. The caller advised that Lacee and his girlfriend were fighting. After picking up his kids, he arrived home to see a white Suburban at his house. He said that Lacee got out of the vehicle and began arguing with him. He said that he was going to let Lacee have the kids, but he could tell she was under the influence of alcohol. He said that Lacee stated to him, “I should punch you.” He says that she then started punching him in the face. His girlfriend got out of the car in an attempt to break up the fight, but another passenger in the Suburban grabbed his girlfriend, then Lacee and the passenger began punching her. All parties had stopped fighting by the time the deputy arrived.

When the deputy spoke with Lacee, she had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her person and had slurred speech. Lacee kept saying “Evan you know.” While continuing to talk to Lacee, she would not advise anything about what happened, just that they all fought. The caller had a small cut under his right eye. Lacee was placed under arrest and charged with fourth-degree assault minor injury. While placing Lacee in the back of his patrol car, Lacee stated to the deputy, “Why don’t you just go ahead and rape me.”

Lacee was transported to the Meade County Detention Center. While at the detention center, Lacee threw up in the back of the deputy’s patrol car. Lacee then advised, “You are mad that you did f*** me in high school.”
